This aquatic complex serves the need for various international events, national events and arena for training on aquatic games. It serves as a need for the beginning swimmers or the more advanced competitor.
Gachibowli Aquatics Complex is maintained by Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh. Its now the center for various international standards competition with a seating capacity of 2,000 spectators.
The stadium was constructed for the last ever held Afro Asian Games which were conducted for the 1st time in the history in the city of Hyderabad, India.
