The Hyderabad Deccan Railway station is also known as the Nampally Railway Station as it’s located in Nampally locality of Hyderabad. This station serves the pupils from Hyderabad by rail to and fro to many important cities and towns in the country. Most of the express trains originate from this station.

Hyderabad Deccan Station was opened in 1874 and it was electrified completely in 2003 the year in which Kacheguda Station too was electrified. It comes under Secunderabad division of South Central Railways.

Nampally Railway station only serves the purpose of train origination or the train destination because from its other side it’s closed. Along with Secunderabad Railway station and Kacheguda station it is among the primary Railway station in Hyderabad and Secunderabad Twin cities.

Some of the trains which originate from this station are Godavari Express, East Coast Express, AP Express, Dakshin Express, Hussainsagar Express, Mumbai Express, Charminar Express and Usmanabad Express.

Nampally Railway station is also connected with Metro Mail Rail Transport which is an intercity transport connecting various parts of the city for the daily commutators.
