ISKCON TempleISKON Organization has constructed many ISKCON temples in the major towns and cities of India and the primary deity being the Lord Krishna. There exists ‘Iskon Temple’ in Hyderabad too at Nampally locality. ISKON temple is located at Nampally in Hyderabad and another one can be found at Maredpally, a minor one.

Its finds thousands of devotees visiting this shrine during the famous yearly festival Krishnasthami celebrated as the form of Lord Krishna birth. Special poojas and mahaabhishekam are performed to receive the blessings on the eve of yearly festival. This temple is kept under strict watch by security personals and by local police.

The other deity’s temples that you can find inside the premises are Sri Jagannatha Baladeva – Subhadhra, Sri Gaura-Nitai and Sri Radha Madana – Mohana.

There are special programs held every day time. Since morning 4 Am to evening 9 Pm, you would find people inside the temple chanting the aratis, bhajans and pooja. The following are the daily programs or the schedule of the temple on regular days –

4:30 – 5:15 am : Mangala Arati
5:15 – 6:45 am : Japa Meditation
6:45 – 7:30 am : Nagar Sankirtan
7:30 – 7:45 am : Sringar Arati
7:45 – 8:15 am : Srila Prabhupad Guru puja
8:15 – 9:00 am : Srimad Bhagavatam Class
7:00 – 8:00 pm : Sandhya Arati
8:30 – 8:45 pm : Sayana Arati

Sunday being special and many people have off on Sunday, they visit this temple and the following are the daily programs or the schedule of the temple on Sunday being the special days –

10:30 – 12:30 pm : Sunday Children School
12:30 – 1:00 pm : Raj Bhoga Arati
1:00 – 2:30 pm : Lecture on Bhagavad Gita (Telugu/Hindi)
2:30 – 3:30 pm : Prasadam feast
5:30 – 7:00 pm : Youth Program
7:00 – 8:00 pm : Special Sandhya Arati

Reaching the ISKCON temple in Hyderabad is easy because it is well connected by APSRTC buses and trains. If you are coming by train then get down at Nampally station or if you are traveling by bus then make sure you take buses traveling to General Post Office in Abids and get down there. Then travel to Hare Krishna Land through Chirag Ali Lane in Abids.
