J V R Park or Jalagam Vengal Rao park is a manmade crater located between Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills. J V R Park is full of some of the greenest grass in the city. It does have one small pond located inside the park. J V R Park is located in the centre of high concrete building surrounded to it.
Stone walk openwork around the pond in the middle of the grass will enable you to walk aimlessly with any purpose to enjoy a lovely evening. Of course when you have a park regardless of its size and area there will be a dedicated play area for the children with various children play equipment like slides, rocket elephant, climber, SeeSaw, SS slide, Merry Go Round, Jungle Jim and Swing, Swing around and A to B climber. There is also a small cafeteria section which includes few arcade games. It has also got some of the best and seen flowers located in the park, make sure that you don’t pluck those flowers and it’s strictly prohibited.
It also got concrete made chairs to sit for the two and have lovely look of the park and free time to pass on. But I loved to sit on the wooden chairs which were only few. It does have arranged lawns and landscapes which offers spacious area for mini outdoor games as well.
J V R Park is operational from morning 5 o’clock serving the jogging place, exercise place or even the place for yoga till 9 PM in the evening for children’s to play, people to have a lovely walk around. Its open throughout the week and there is a nominal fee of Rs 5 per individual as the entrance fee to the park, which his quite reasonable. A monthly pass facility is also available and you can get it by paying Rs 50 per month.
Its located on Road No 1, Banjara Hills, and to reach here from Punjagutta you can take road connecting Hotel Taj Krishna. Its located very close to GVK One Shopping Mall.
