The total capacity of seating in Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium is around 2,000 people and its specially built for indoor games like badminton, volleyball, caroms, basketball, board games like monopoly, backgammon, Chess, tablet top games like billiards and snooker and other games.

The Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium has been constructed to meet the Afro Asian Games 2003 venue events. It was ready on time to host indoor games for the 1st Afro Asian Games which was held in Hyderabad in 2003 & has successfully hosted it with overall satisfaction.

This stadium is maintained by Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh SAAP, the registered government body which looks after the sports events and affairs in Andhra Pradesh state. The stadium is named after the ninth chief minister of Indian state Andhra Pradesh Mr. Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy who was in office as CM for two terms 20th September 1982 to 9 January 1983 and from 9 October 1992 to 12 December 1994.

The stadium after the big Afro Asian games, has hosted state level games like skating rink championship through the rink built by SAAP. This provides an ideal platform for the skaters in Hyderabad. There is also training academy in Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in various indoor games by the coaches and also conducts special summer camp training for children’s.
