Lumbini ParkLumbini Park is a lakeside park located adjacent to Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad, India. Since its located amidst of city & the tourists attractions like Birla Mandir & Necklace Road it attracts a huge amount of visitors throughout the year.

Lumbini Park was constructed in 1994 and it’s been maintained by Buddha Purnima Project Authority which functions under Government of India.

The area of Lumini Park is so small that it just occupies 7.5 acres of land adjacent to Hussain Sagar. It has the facilities of laser auditorium, boating facilities, gardens, lawns, musical fountains. In 2006 in honor of late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh it was renamed as T Anjaiah Lumbini Park but rarely people use it and they are addicted to the old name of the park.

The Laser show here is amazing as it displays different concept altogether wherein the water with laser lights are displayed in tune with music. The main reason of attraction of good crowds is the fact that AP Tourism Development Corporation runs boating facilities here. Boating is possible by different boating services like fast boat, and slow big boat ride to travel to 18 meter high monolithic statue of Lord Buddha in the middle of the lake. This is the famous & tallest Buddha statue in the world.
