Shilpakala Vedika is an auditorium and a convention centre located in Hyderabad, India. Its located opposite to Cyber Tower in Hitech City area of Hyderabad city. A large amount of terracotta a clay based unglazed ceramic was used from the construction of it. Shilpakala Vedika is operational since June 15, 2002. Its spread over an area of 5 acres.
The name has a meaning attached to it. Shilpa means sculpture, kala means art and vedika means platform. So altogether Shipakala Vedika is an auditorium dedicated to sculpture arts display. It can be used as the multipurpose indoor auditorium with various facilities available. It can hold a capacity of 2,500 people altogether.
Shilpakala Vedika is a #1 choice venue for local and national events. With a range of different meeting spaces and private dining areas it can accommodate anything from small meetings to large mass gathering, corporate events, conferences for the product launch, trade shows, wedding, wedding receptions and much more. There is plenty of outdoor space too. It has been a preferred venue for the launch of Tollywood movies audio releases.
This masterpiece was architect by S Sathyanarayana who won the ACCE SIMPLEX Award 2006 for Innovative Design of Structures other than Industrial buildings.
Shilpakala Vedika is connected with major parts of city with quick access to rail and airport. It’s located 25 kms from the Rajiv Gandhi International airport and it doesn’t take more than 30 minutes to reach the airport. The Hyderabad railways station is located 20 kms from here.
