Birla PlanetariumBirla Planetarium is the tribute to the growth and development made in science and technology. Birla Planetarium is located near the famous temple & tourist point of Birla Mandir at the center of the city. Birla Planetarium in combine with Birla Mandir is atop on Naubat Pahad which is the center of many points of interest.

Birla Planetarium was inaugurated by the Late N T Rama Rao in 1985 the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The planetarium offers various daily sky shows which unfold the aspects of cosmos, mysteries of universe, eclipses, UFO instances, and lot more about space science. The Birla Planetarium has the following shows
English Shows at 11.30 Am, 4 Pm and 6 Pm, Telugu Shows at 12.15 Pm, 3 Pm, 5 Pm and 6.45 Pm & Hindi Shows at 7.30 Pm, and on holidays it has special show at 8.15 Pm. The recent edition to the show is the glimpse of clash of the Titans. The above show lasts for about 35 minutes.

Just nearby in the vicinity we have Birla Science Museum, the only science museum in Hyderabad which depicts the achievement of science and technology. From Birla Planetarium you can have the clear view of Lal Bahadur International Stadium.

The entry price for Birla Planetarium is Rs 10 and it’s the hot spot for schoolchildren during excursion or science fair.
