Botanical GardenHyderabad Botanical Garden or the Bhaskar Reddy Botanical garden is located in Kondapur, Hyderabad. It’s named after the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy. Kondapur area in the Hyderabad city is full of concrete skyscrapers but Botanical Garden is the only place which provides you with pollution free air.

The Botanical Garden of Hyderabad is spread over an area of 120 acres. This is divided into 19 sectors or vanams. It’s a natural habitat for over 600 varieties of teak, rosewood, neem, mahua. The first phase is already been completed and it’s open to the public with 5 sectors. These 5 sectors are medical plants, timber and fruits trees, ornamental plants, bamboos, palm trees, and a vanam for aquatic plants.

The work is in progress for the Botanical garden but expected things to come are scary delight garden, underwater plant zoo, Venus Fly Trap, inclusion with Kothagudem National Reservoir to include a wildlife bird sanctuary.

The other facilities included in the garden in parking lot, cafeteria, drinking water, and bench seating arrangements. The entry fee for the adult is Rs 10 per head and for children is Rs 5 per head. It’s open from 9 Am to 8 Pm.

If one has to reach here, he should be on Gachibowli Miyapur highway near Madhapur. It’s easily accessible by road. Once can travel in bus heading towards Kondapur or 10H, 47M or 47E buses from Secunderabad directly.
